Dr Abdul Syakur, S.T, M.T

Biography

Abdul Syakur has been a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Engineering Faculty, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, since 1999. He completed his Bachelor's in 1997 from the Department of Electrical Engineering Universitas Diponegoro, his Master's in 2002 from the Department of Electrical Engineering Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Doctor in 2015 from the Department of Electrical Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada.  He has been investigating the degradation of insulation surfaces using IEC 587 standard. All testing has been done in a high-voltage laboratory. He has a project about determining the tracking index of epoxy resin insulating materials. His research interests are on high voltage insulation technology such as partial discharge, surface tracking, and electrical tracking.
