Anatomical pathology is a medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis of disease based on the microscopic and molecular examination of organs, tissues, and cells. Doctors who practice pathology are trained in anatomical pathology, diagnosing disease through laboratory analysis of body fluids. Anatomical pathology of disease and obtaining clinically useful information through tissue and cell examination, which generally involves gross visual and microscopic examination of tissues, with special stains and immunohistochemistry utilized to visualize specific proteins and other substances in and around cells. Now, anatomical pathologists are starting to use molecular biology to obtain additional clinical information from the same specimen.

Vision: In 2024, become a research-based center for superior Anatomic Pathology Specialists in the field of oncology

Missions:

  1. Organizing educational programs for Anatomic Pathology specialists who are qualified and superior, and competitive at the national and/or international levels,
  2. Carrying out research that produces effective and efficient publications, Intellectual Property Rights, books, policies, and technologies on Anatomic Pathology by prioritizing specific excellence both at the national and/or international levels, especially in the field of oncology,
  3. Organizing community service that can produce effective and efficient publications, intellectual property rights, books, policies, and technologies for Anatomic Pathology to improve public health status by prioritizing local culture and resources, especially in the field of oncology, and
  4. Organizing efficient, accountable, transparent, and fair governance of educational programs for Anatomic Pathology specialists.
